Creative Learning Fun

Check out Creative Learning Fun, a great blog for pre-kers!  Elizabeth offers some great downloadable freebies in addition to some fantastic worksheets available for purchase at great prices.  She creates them herself and I must say, I don’t know how she does it.  She is the single mom of a special needs daughter, whom she home schools, AND goes to school herself. 

I just downloaded a freebie pertaining to pre-writing skills.  Helana still needs practice forming her letters and numbers and these worksheets are a great supplement and practice.

Home schooling with Focus

Helana loves it when her new copy of Clubhouse Jr, by Focus on the Family, arrives in the mail.  She loves getting mail. I appreciate the values the magazine teaches. 

However, Helana finds some of the activities and stories a bit challenging and it is some times difficult to get her to sit still to listen and look.  So, we have taken to visiting their website for some extra fun in learning.
The Clubhouse Jr site is a fun resource for bible lessons, games and activities tailored for ages 3-7, as is the magazine.  So much of Helana's educational time comes from the computer!  She is more likely to retain information this way.
