We have had a couple of beautiful spring days here in the Bluegrass. Keeneland has opened. Yards have been mowed. Honey bees have feasted on the blooms of my pear trees. Spring flowers planted. My tulips are about to open in a gorgeous salmon color. And as Kentucky weather would have it, snow/sleet has been mentioned as a possibility for the weekend. Figures. I just hope my first year of tulips does not meet a quick and untimely death.
