Every year about this time, we like to spend a few days in Pigeon Forge, TN. It is nice to get away and recharge. We left last Monday afternoon and returned on Friday. Unfortunately, within a few hours of returning home we all came down with a bug. Figures :)
Our favorite place to visit is Cades Cove. It is a protected environment where whitetail deer will walk within a few feet of you. Naturally, Hubs loves this. The park is also home to black bear but we've never seen any. There are historic cabins and churches available for tour along an eleven mile expanse through which you drive, with frequent spots for pulling off so you may take pictures of wildlife or just the gorgeous views.
We don't do much on these trips, mostly visit Cades Cove, shop, relax and Beauty loves swimming in the indoor pool. It is certainly a refreshing time.
