Let's hear it for time4learning!

So, once again I want to give a shout out to time4learning.com. Since Helana has expressive and receptive language delays, it is often difficult to know exactly what she is processing.

Time4learning is a God-send. Unbeknownst to me, since she doesn't always answer questions verbally, she can do simple addition at a glance. At least she did the other day during her computer-time math lesson. "There are two letters. Three more letters have just arrived. Click the number to the right that tells us how many letters there are in all." I was about to demonstrate counting the letters to come up with the sum, when Helana just moved the mouse over the five and clicked. She did it again later in the lesson. It is moments like these that make home schooling even more special. Being a witness to such things is heartwarming beyond words.
